070908 - Berwyn Route 66 Show and Spindle
Autobahn Trackside Show:
This was the big day for our first ever Chicago Vintage Mustang Club Car Show!
It was called the "Trackside Vintage Mustang & Ford Show" and it was held at the Autobahn Country Club in Joliet.
We invited anyone with a 1973 or older Ford to come on out and join us for a participant vote car show with trophies, a number of free parade laps on the track, and to watch as the Northwoods Shelby Club put on a racing event on the track at the same time!
We had 96 cars register for the show, and at least 40 members show up with their cars as well!
This was by far the largest undertaking yet for our club, the best turnout of club members for a single event, and the largest assembly of vintage Mustangs in one place in the Chicago area this year. (As far as we know!)
